Dear Family,
I am very sad to hear of Lula's passing. Maurice and I are so sorry for your loss.
As you know Lula and I grew up together. She was always a quiet spirit and I know her smile is being seen in Heaven. I have many memories of the whole family on Poplar Street. Those were the days.
The last time I spoke to Lula, we were in the doctor's office. She was telling me that she had been sick for a while. We reminisced a little about the old times, not knowing that it would be the last time I would ever talk to her.
May God comfort all of you in this time of sorrow.
