Brother, I miss you so much! You were not only my older brother, but you were my hero too. I would watch you draw growing up and I wanted to draw too. When your interests shifted to photography and video, I wanted to learn that too. You taught me well enough that I have an awarding career in this field. I can also do a little basic electronics too because of watching you repair countless pieces of equipment. Every time I finished something creative, I couldn’t wait to show you to get your seal of approval. To hear you say “Wow, Beedle Needle you did good girl” was all I needed to hear. I hope you left this life knowing that I loved you. Rest in Peace my brother.

It is with a heavy heart that I sit to send my heartfelt condolences to the Jones family. Mr. Jones was a Quiet Village icon without a doubt. All of us as children looked forward to the summer movie nights. They were simply the best. He was always smiling and joking. I will forever remember that million dollar smile and cherish the moments I saw him last at Mom-Norma's retirement celebration.

Words can't express the loss of a friend and class mate. We were always taking pictures and I would tell him how I love taking pictures of family and friends. Growing up with him was always a funny time. We would talk about things that would go on in the town. I pray for his children and family at this time. Class of 1965. Valerie

Growing up on Lumber Street next to Alvin and the Jones family were some of the best childhood memories we could have ever had. Alvin would gather up the children in the neighborhood and we would sit on his back steps at dusk in the summer months and he would show us movies on his reel to reel camera. (kinda like being at the drive-in without the car). I can so vividly remember Alvin making his own movies with clay figures, strategically moving each movement inch by inch and by the time he was finished, they were melted and drooping from the heat of the lights.
My father died about 45 years ago, so my younger brothers and sisters did not remember him nor could remember what he looked like......but Alvin had captured him on film and video and spent an evening with our family showing us our dad. The tears, the fun, the love.
He will be remembered in our hearts forever. Rest Easy Alvin, we will miss you.
