Wilbur Edmund (Eddie) Jackson, Sr.

Wilbur Edmund Jackson, Sr., "Eddie", of Media, PA, departed this life Friday morning on April 24, 2020, at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media.  He was 65 years old.

Eddie came into this world on November 30, 1954.  He was the son of Constance Turner Jackson and the late David "Buddy" Luff Jackson, Sr.

Born in West Chester, PA, the family moved to Philadelphia, PA, near 8th and Diamond Streets, which he talked about all the time.  Later on, the Jackson family relocated to Media where Eddie attended Penn Crest High School.  After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines for four years, serving as a helicopter mechanic, until being honorably discharged.

He attended aviation school in Philadelphia, and worked for the Boeing Company.

Eddie absolutely loved music and was the proud owner of several guitars.  He was in a band called “Special Brewed”.  He and his late brother, Rob, would often have singing sessions.

His grandchildren were the light of his life.  He absolutely adored them and enjoyed spending time and talking with and about them.

In addition to his father, David, he was predeceased by a son, Wilbur Edmund Jackson, Jr.; three brothers, David Luff “Jackie” Jackson, Jr., Robert Edward “Robbie” Jackson and Donald Lloyd “Donnie” Jackson.

Eddie will be remembered by his mother, Constance Jackson; three daughters, Jasmine Jackson, Rashawnda Jackson and Rashida Jackson; one son, Anthony Jackson; one sister, Constance Ann Hawks (and husband Sidney); nine grandchildren: Ka’cion Brown, Ariyah Brown, Khabir Jackson, Nile Jackson, Zion Jackson, Adrianna Roach, Alexander Roach, Marguerite Roach, Jackson Roach and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held privately, however, the family is planning a graveside service for a later date.
