Terrence Forte Obituary

Terrence Lamonte “Pete” Forte, was born on January 12, 1972 to Bobette J. Forte and the late Willard James Dorsey. Terrence departed suddenly on November 7, 2020 at Brandywine Hospital. He was 48 years old.

Terrence was a graduate of the great class of 1990 at CASH.  After graduation, Terrence entered into the United States Navy where he was stationed in San Diego, California. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy, Pete returned home where he was employed at Arcelor Mittal Steel Company, formerly known as Lukens Steel, from June 12, 1995 until his passing.

Pete was a published author of the book, “The Broken Circle”.  He loved to travel and hang out with his friends, play spades and pitty pat card games. He always kept a smile on his face and made people laugh. He lived life, life did not live him. Pete had a nickname for everyone.

Besides his mother, Pete is survived by two children: a son, Zachary Gathercole of Sadsburyville, and a daughter, Petrice Forte of Coatesville; a brother, Anthony “Moe” Forte (Robin) of Oreland, PA; special friend, Desiree Washington of Coatesville; a special nephew, Tarrance Forte of Oreland, PA; and special nieces; AniJa Forte of Tampa, Florida, and Kimori Warren of Coatesville, PA, and Tiffani Forte, of Oreland, PA. He is also survived by two special great uncles, Lemuel Forte of West Chester, PA, Raynard Forte of Spencer, North Carolina; a special aunt, Dina Dorsey of Coatesville, PA and many other relatives and friends.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Wesley and Beatrice Forte; paternal grandparents, Mabel Dorsey and James Bradley. He is also predeceased by a special friend Percy “Pete” Tinson.

Pete touched so many lives throughout the Coatesville Community. He leaves cherished memories to his family, friends and his Brandywine Family.

A Walk-thru public viewing will be held from 9 AM to 10:30 AM, on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral service will be held privately with limited seating for the immediate family only. Interment with Navy Military Honors will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, November 16, 2020, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
