Steven Craig Brown, 64, of Coatesville, PA passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the Chester County Hospital.
Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Doris Ann Durnell Brown and James Odell “Yi” Brown. He was known as Stevie by his family and friends.
Stevie was the husband of Liza “Lisa” Brown with whom he shared 20 years together.
He was a 1975 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High where he played football and ran track.
Stevie had been employed at the NHS for many years until his health began to fail.
He was baptized at Second Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Cornelius Williams.
Stevie loved music and learned how to play guitar by ear. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved having fourth of July cookouts at his house. He enjoyed many things in life, among them including sports, music, and spending time with family.
Stevie leaves cherished memories to his wife, Liza “Lisa” Marie Stanley-Brown; step-daughter, Courtney Stanley; step-sons, Andrew Stanley, Cory Stanley, and Tyler Stanley; siblings: Rev. James Christmas and his wife, Tracy of Claymont, Delaware, Patricia A. Boyd and her husband, Rev. H. Michael Boyd, Michael Boggs, Terence Brown all of Coatesville; three grandsons: Ace, Lincoln, Jayce; granddaughter, Jasirah; close friends, Donald Butterfield, Lester Manning and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by two brothers: Omega Boggs and Tyrone Boggs.
Homegoing Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
