Sherry Louise Anthony, 54, of Thorndale, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville. Born in West Chester, PA, she was daughter of Elder Violet Anthony and the late Martin Harold Anthony.
After graduating from Great Valley High School in 1983, she attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She graduated with an associate’s degree in fashion design. Later she attended Harrisburg Area Community College.
Over the years, Sherry was employed at Bloomingdales, J. E. Caldwell, and worked as a ticket agent and a gate agent at U.S. Airways and Southwest Airlines.
Sherry was a member of Bell Chapel True Holiness Church where she faithfully served whenever she could. In her youth, Sherry was active in the Young Peoples Department at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Malvern, PA, where her father was a life-long member.
Sherry was a very straight-forward person. She was outgoing, outspoken and had a vibrant personality. People enjoyed being around her. She was amusing, funny and though she was bluntly honest, people appreciated her honesty. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, roller skating, traveling, and loved entertaining family and friends for dinner. She also enjoyed grilling and eating crab legs which was her favorite.
Sherry enjoyed socializing and hanging out with her family and friends. She was instrumental in getting her family together for reunions.
She leaves her mother, Elder Violet Mae Anthony; one sister, Kathy Anthony, Goddaughter, Naomi; Godson, Keshun as well as a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Bell Chapel True Holiness Church, 132 Modena Rd, Coatesville, PA. A viewing will be held from 8:00 AM until the service time.
Interment will be held at Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester, PA.

Flowers may be sent to the church on the day of the service. The theme colors are lavender, purple and white.
