Raymond David Garrison was born on February 16, 1958, to Georgianna and Raymond Garrison.
He was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. Ray worked at a PDDC workshop in North Philadelphia for many years. In 2014, he moved from Philadelphia to Chester County where he then attended Brian’s House in Exton until 2020. Ray attended St. Paul’s Baptist Church in West Chester every Sunday until it closed during the pandemic. Ray loved God and loved giving him praise during worship service. He loved Gospel music and Rock and roll music. He loved to dance and was a great dancer. He loved wrestling and enjoyed going on long walks in the neighborhood. And mostly he loved all of his family. He was very much a people person.
Ray was thoughtful and kind-hearted. When chores were being done in the house, Ray would always ask, “Can I help?” and when someone coughed or sneezed, he would say, “Are you all right?”. He was very caring.
Raymond passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Paoli Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgianna, his father, Raymond Garrison, and two sisters, Mary Hinton and Gladys Thomas.
