Priscilla Phillips Obituary

Priscilla Lane Phillips, 82, of Coatesville, PA passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the Brandywine Hospital in Caln, PA.

Born in Thomasville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Rheba Davis Ward and the late Roger Phillips. She was affectionately known as Pat or Patsy by her family and friends.

Patsy was a 1957 graduate of S. Horace Scott Senior High School.  After graduating from high school, she moved to New York where she worked in retail for a few years. That's where she began her love for buying clothes. After relocating back to Coatesville, she became employed as a Health Care Technician at Coatesville VA Medical Center where she worked for 30 years before she retired.

Patsy enjoyed shopping, traveling, and listening to jazz, especially the sounds of Myles Davis. She loved reading mystery novels. Most of all Patsy was a "true blue" avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved watching football, and despite opposition from others, she would proudly wear her Dallas Cowboys gear.

She leaves cherished memories to her daughter, April D. Phillips; mother, Rheba Ward; step-brother, Jerry L. Phillips; bonus daughters, Monique Artis and Georgette Petterman; bonus grands: Shamaer Styer, Destiny Young, Shanina Thompson, and Ray Thompson; son-in-law, Melvin "Roy" Thompson, Jr.; God-son, Marcus Hall; cousin, Cassie Forman; her crew: Bailey, Tina, Spriggs, Sharon, Phil, Nora and Cindy; her next-door neighbor, Tim, who always helped out and stayed in contact; Dennis Jacks who always helped the family; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the Episcopal Church of the Trinity, 323 East Lincoln Hwy., Coatesville, PA, 19320, with a viewing beginning at 9:00 AM.
