Parthenia "Par" L. Parker

Parthenia “Par” Parker, 58, of Coatesville passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at home.

Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of Lydia Ann Parker Butterfield and the late Herbert Jacobs.

Parthenia was a 1981 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School, where she holds a track record in the girls 100-yard dash.

She worked as a bartender for many years at several locations in the city of Coatesville. She was also a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Parthenia was a nice person who had a kind and caring spirit. This was evident by the many people who called her MOM.

Parthenia had a beautiful smile and was the life of any party. She loved cooking, dancing and listening to music, especially R&B.  She liked telling jokes and enjoyed playing card games. Watching scary movies with her grandchildren was one of her favorite pastimes.

Parthenia leaves cherished memories to her daughters, Taneisha Parker, Tearsha Parker (Danesha); companion, Troy Short; mother, Lydia Butterfield; siblings, Joseph Hills, Denise Hills; step-siblings, Coreene “Tiny” Williams, Adelle “Dell” Butterfield, Phyllis McCain, and Sharon Young; step-son, Kareem Jarret; grandchildren: Summer Parker, Jordyn Carter, Carnell Tinson, Jr., Angelo Legree, III, Tyriq Parker, Breyonna Parker, Nyshea Simpson, C’asia Parker; great-granddaughter, Chosyn Parker; best friend, Nicole Hudock; father-figure, Ron Burke and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her father, Parthenia was predeceased by a son, Carnell Parker; brother, Herbert Anthony Parker, and her step-father, Adell Butterfield.

A Life Celebration Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Episcopal Church of the Trinity, 323 East Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

The interment will be in New Evergreen Cemetery in Coatesville, PA.
