Otilia Acevedo, fue residente desde hace mucho tiempo de Mayagüez, falleció el lunes 14 de Diciembre, 2020 en Tower Health Brandywine Hospital.
Nacio en 1915 en Lares, P.R., Otilia fue una mujer trabajadora desde muy joven. Era una cocinera increíble que cocinaba para abogados y estudiantes. También sacaba carbón, ella era una mujer que lo hacía todo.
Otilia amaba la buena comida y socializar, disfrutaba ir a bailar y tenía una sonrisa maravillosa que podía iluminar una habitación.
Sus vecinos la amaban porque estaba dispuesta a ayudarlos con lo que necesitaran.
Otilia era una mujer muy independiente que cuidaba a sus hijos y crió a algunos de sus nietos. Sus hijos la querían mucho. La cuidaba su amorosa hija Antonia Acevedo.

Otilia Acevedo, of South Coatesville, formerly of Lares, Puerto Rico, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Brandywine Hospital. Otilia was 105 years old.
Born 1915 in Lares, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Jose Acevedo Hernandez and Monserate Rivera.
Otilia Acevedo, was a long-time resident of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
Born in 1915 in Lares, P.R., Otilia was a working woman from a very young age. She was an amazing cook. She cooked for lawyers and students. She also dug coal. She was a woman that did everything. Ortilia loved good food and socializing. She enjoyed going dancing and had a wonderful smile that would light up a room.
Her neighbors loved her because she was willing to help them with what they needed.
Otilia was a very independent woman who cared for her children and raised some of his grandchildren. Her children loved her very much.
She is survived by her children: Feliciano Acevedo, Antonia Acevedo, Jose Acevedo, Guillermo Acevedo, José Rivera, Margara Acevedo, Lucy Rivera, William Acevedo, Joe Acevedo, Luis Acevedo, Cano Santana, Carlos Santana, Marisabel Santana, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.
A Walk-Thru only viewing will be held for one hour from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Rios de Agua Viva Sanando Heridas Church, 352 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a funeral service will be held strictly private for the immediate family only.
