Morris Allen Ellis, 36, of Coatesville, PA, passed away suddenly, Friday, July 14, 2023, at Paoli Memorial Hospital.
Morris was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 19, 1987. He was the son of Morris William Ellis, Sr. and Donna Marie (Henderson) Ellis.
Morris was a boob tube baby. Growing up his favorite movie was The Sandlot. He probably watched it 100 times. He loved playing video games when he got a Sega Genesis for his 6th birthday.
As a child, he played baseball and football for the Coatesville Little League.
He attended Rainbow Elementary and South Brandywine Middle School. After graduating from CASH in 2005, he attended Bloomsburg University.
Morris was employed as an Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree on Airport Road for 13 years, starting as their very first hire at that location. He was always friendly, engaging, and helpful to the customers. He was known for being caring, sweet, kindhearted, and overall, a good person. He would give you the shirt off his back.
He liked Marvel and DC characters like Batman and Wolverine. He was a kid at heart. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Sixers fan. He loved food. Most of all, he enjoyed cooking and traveling around to try different restaurants which led him to start a blog called Food for Your Face(book). One of his favorite restaurants was Crystal’s Comfort Food in Delaware. He also had a Youtube channel, That’s All Entertainment, where he elaborated on a variety of topics.
The highlight of his life came on May 4th, 2023 (may the fourth be with you, he joked) when his daughter Mina Makkari Marie Ellis was born. He was a proud new father. She was a perfect little angel in his eyes. He gushed at how much she looked like him. Although short, he cherished the time he spent with her and the bond they shared as father and daughter.
Morris will be deeply missed by his daughter, Mina Makkari Marie Ellis (mom, Kelly L. Berry) of Coatesville; his parents, Morris and Donna Ellis of Coatesville; brothers, Evan William Ellis of Coatesville; Morris William Ellis, Jr. (Diana) of Philadelphia; sisters, Khadijah J.
