Marian London Obituary

Marian E. London, 86, of Coatesville, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 16, 2023, at her residence while surrounded by her family.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Daisy Reeves. She was affectionately known as “Tookie” by some of her family.

Marian received her education from the Coatesville area public schools and graduated from S. Horace Scott High School in 1955. Over the years, she worked for various companies in the baking industry in accounts payable and the data entry field. She relocated to California where she lived for a short time before traveling back to Pennsylvania.

Marian had many different pastimes that she enjoyed.  She loved driving, taking trips to the country, and taking care of flowers and plants. For many years, she was a driver for many people even before there was ‘Lift’. Marian was a faithful member of Jubilee Evangelistic Ministries in Coatesville. She was a dedicated Sunday School teacher for many years and took great pride in sharing her knowledge with her students. She was passionate about her faith and enjoyed spending time studying the Bible and other religious texts.

Marian helped to serve lunch on Tuesday and Thursday to the homeless and others in need.

She often took long drives to explore new areas and was particularly fond of admiring the landscaping. She also enjoyed traveling and participating in the annual Reeves Family Reunion. Most of all, she was a faithful worshiper. Marian was a kind-hearted woman, caring, nurturing woman who loved the Lord.

Marian leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Antionette Reeves and Kenya M. London both of Coatesville; 7 grandchildren who affectionately called her Nanny, 7 great-grandchildren, a host of London and Reeves relatives and many beloved friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Andrew London, and Ronald Scott London; brother, Glenn E. Reeves Jr., granddaughter, Fanisha London and a former spouse, Frederick E. London.

Marian was a kind-hearted woman who touched the lives of many with her generous spirit and love for learning. Her love for family was evident in everything she did, and she will be deeply missed.
