Lydia Shelton, 79, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 28,2020, at Paoli Memorial Hospital in Paoli.
Originally born in Coatesville, to the late Clarence P. Bacon and Helen Brown, she had been a long time resident of Honey Brook for over 30 years.
Lydia was employed as a nurse at the Coatesville V.A. Hospital for many years.
She owned and operated a hair salon in Coatesville on 2nd Avenue. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and growing flowers... "she really had a green thumb".
Lydia will leave lasting memories to her two sons, Aaron Griffy and Anthony Shelton both of Coatesville; two daughters, Mia McCloud of Lancaster, PA, and Diane Shelton of Coatesville, PA. She is also survived by three sisters: Charmaine Bacon, Patricia Middleton and Dorothy Bacon; two brother in-laws, Sidney Shelton and Raymond Shelton both of Coatesville, nine grandchildren, and many other nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Snake" Shelton; son, John C. Griffy, Jr.; daughter, Tammy Shelton; sister, Claudia Shelton; brothers, Clarence Brown and Cocky Brown.
