Lucy Ann Vaughn, 73, of Coatesville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at home.Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late William "Chase" Raymond Vaughn, Sr., and Alberta Charlotte Marshall Vaughn.

Lucy was educated in the Coatesville public school system and graduated from CASH in 1970.

Over the years, she worked as an assembler at Handi Crafters.

She enjoyed singing and praising the Lord. She loved to watch gospel shows on television. Lucy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Passtown, where she sang in the Gospel Chorus for many years. Most recently, she was a member of Judah Ministries Church of God in Christ. She sang in choir groups such as the Voices of Love, the William Reeves Ensemble, and other choirs.

She was kind, friendly, and loved children. She enjoyed going out to eat at restaurants and shopping for clothes and shoes. When you ask her how she was doing, she would often say, “One day at a time.”

She will be deeply missed by her loving sisters, Madeline E. Anderson of New Castle, Delaware, Elnora A. Brown (Frank) of Wilmington, Delaware, Yolanda G. Vaughn of Coatesville and Maxine Vaughn-Ayala of Landisville, PA; her devoted brothers, William R. Vaughn, Jr. (Estelle) of Coatesville, David L. Vaughn of Spring City, Enoch A. Vaughn of Secane, PA and John N. Vaughn (Bonita) of Coatesville; her cherished brother-in-law, Charles Bruce; her close cousins, Gladys Marshall Legree, Janet Marshall Price; her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Lucy was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Vaughn Bruce, and her twin sisters, Ella Mae Vaughn and Willa Mae Vaughn.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S 17th Avenue, Coatesville, PA.
