Peachie attended Passtown Elementary School, James Adams School, and was a 1959 graduate from S. Horace Scott Senior High School. She worked at many different hospitals throughout her career including Embreeville State Hospital and Chester County. She was a dependable employee, working until retirement from Continental Can and Graphic Packaging in 2003.

Over the years Peachie faithfully served on the Passtown Church Kitchen Committee, serving dinners to the weekly Youth Monday Night students, summer Vacation Bible School students, funeral repasts, and other occasions.
She loved listening to music, especially on WDAS. She enjoyed food, and cooking. Peachie would often cook her grandchildren’s favorite meal of mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, roast beef, coleslaw and succotash. Some of her favorite foods were fruits and sweet potatoes. Most of all, Peachie had a passion for flowers. She loved planting, watering, and tending to the flowers on her porch and in her yard.
Peachie was a very stylish woman and enjoyed catalog shopping. She had an amazing amount of clothes, shoes and accessories.
Peachie loved spending time with and being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
