Lawrence Michael Hurd

Lawrence Michael Hurd, of Coatesville, PA, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in Coatesville. He was 41 years old.

Lawrence was born in Coatesville in 1982, the son of Ellanore (Bruce) Hurd, and the late Lawrence Michael Ferguson. 

He was educated in the Coatesville Area School District and was a graduate of the class of 2000. He had a love for cars and motorcycles, but most importantly his family.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his father Lawrence.

In addition to his mother, Ellanore, Lawrence is survived by two daughters, Lauren Marie Thompson of York, PA, and Laeloni Michelle Hurd of Coatesville; one son, Lavon Michael Hurd of Coatesville; sister, Kimberly Michelle Hurd of Coatesville; nephew, Savon Amir Hurd of Coatesville; aunts, Tresa Washington (Fritz) of Coatesville, Evelyn Skinner of Alabama, Traci Sellers, Violet Cole, and Naomi Rayner; uncles, Charles E. Bruce, Aaron Bruce, Kevin Ferguson (Carmen), Stanley Pernsley (Shirley), and Morris Ferguson; god-mother, Lorie Brandon; god-daughters, Malaysia and Maliyah Brandon; godbrother, Quan Brandon; and a special friend Kimberly Mack, as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Passtown, 117 Barber Avenue, Coatesville, PA. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

The interment will be in New Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti, Coatesville, PA.
