Larry E. Wallace, Sr., 73, of Lincoln University, PA, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at the Penn Medicine Neighborhood Hospital in West Chester, PA.
Born in York, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late George Nelson Wallace and Ida Louise Wallace. Larry was the beloved husband of Sarah L. Wallace with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.
Larry was a faithful and active member of the AME Zion Holiness Church in Lincoln University where he served under the late Pastor Mary Dorsey for over 40 years. He currently was a member and an Elder at the Evangelistic Church of Deliverance (ECOD) in Havre de Grace, Maryland under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth Johnson, Sr.
Larry enjoyed truck driving, working on cars and spending time with his family. Most of all, he enjoyed witnessing to the lost and serving in the ministry.
Larry was a loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed by his wife Sarah L. Wallace; children: Larry Wallace, Jr., Carla Wallace, Clifford Smallwood, Carmen Wallace, Eric Bush, Richard Wallace, Erika Dorsey (Brian Dorsey), Katina McNair (Curtis McNair); brother, Nelson Wallace (Joyce Briscoe) of Aberdeen, Maryland; sisters, Margaret Pounds (Kenneth Pounds) of Churchville, Maryland, Edna Wallace of Edgewood, Maryland and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and beloved friends.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Wallace, Sr. and a sister Pauline Wallace.
Due to the current corona pandemic the service and interment will be private. A memorial service for the public will be held at a later date.
