James Bacon, 52, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on June 26, 2021.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of James Faust and the late Barbara Bacon Perry. He was the beloved husband of Scherherazade Long-Bacon with whom he shared 30 years of marriage. James was affectionately known as “Jake” or “Jimmy” by his family and friends.
He was a 1985 graduate of West Philly High School. He attended Merse Business School.
Jake was employed as a welder at Industrial Panels in New Holland, PA. He was known to have a dry sense of humor like his father. His smile was contagious. He brought a lot of joy and laughter into the room. With his commanding voice, he would say often say, “I’M A BAD MAN!”
He enjoyed eating fruits and vegetables especially chicken and smoothies.
Jake was a member of the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club. He rode his yellow Harley Fat Boy with style. He was passionate about his Native American heritage.
Jake enjoyed traveling to many states to visit his family. He also enjoyed listening to music, especially songs like "Outlaw" Gucci Mane, and others by Lil Wayne and Fabolous.
Jake leaves cherished memories to his wife, Scherherazade “Sherry” Long-Bacon; his father, James Faust (Jeanette); children: Tiffany Bacon, Eliyah Bacon; brothers, Curtis Bacon, Anthony Faust; step-sisters, Ayanna Jernigan and Jeanine Faust; grandchildren, Harmony Lowdon, Khalid Crenshaw and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his niece, Charque Green Bacon, cousin, Elizabeth Ragland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Wright Funeral Home, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:45AM. This service will NOT be livestreamed.
Interment will be in New Evergreen Cemetery in Coatesville, PA.
