Harold F. Ford

Harold Franklin Ford, Jr., 71, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on January 11, 2022.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Harold and Gertrude (London) Ford.  

Harold attended the Coatesville area public schools and was a 1968 graduate of CASH. He was a talented athlete who excelled in track and basketball. He was energetic and was a great shooter. He received a full scholarship to Millersville University where he was a starter on the basketball team. 

Harold majored in Library Science. He later became a certified drug and alcohol recovery specialist in the state correctional institute. Harold enjoyed helping those who needed legal assistance. He helped many get released or get their time shortened. 

Harold is survived by a son, Harold Ford, III "Fordee"; brothers, Carl London (Judith) of Coatesville, Ronald Ford of Philadelphia; sister, Betty Webb of Coatesville;  grandchildren: Nagè Ford, Maloni Ford, Harold Ford, IV "Howie", Jamir Ford; former wife, Rene Alston Robertson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mona Lisa Ford, Patricia Marie Ford, and brother-in-law, Vernon Webb.  

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville PA 19320. A walk thru visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the funeral service will be held privately with limited seating for only the immediate family and invited guests.
