George Russell Taylor, Jr., “Russ”, 73, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at the Paoli Memorial Hospital in Paoli, PA.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late George R. Taylor, Sr. and Gertrude M. (Frye) Taylor. He was the husband of Mary E. (Kelley) Taylor.
Russ was a 1966 graduate of S. Horace Scott Senior High School. He enlisted into the United States Army. During his tour of duty, he earned the rank of Sergeant and served faithfully until he was honorably discharged.
Russ was employed as an engineer at Mars Electronics until he retired after many years.
He was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship where he served in the finance ministry and the usher's ministry. He was one of the original core members.
He enjoyed motorcycles, traveling, and loud music. He was wise and had a gift for managing money. Russ often shared his wisdom and knowledge on a wide range of subjects. Most of all, he loved his family.
Russ is survived by his wife, Mary E. Kelley Taylor of Coatesville; children: Crystal Adger (Marvin) of Coatesville, R. Eric Taylor (Lorraine) of Coatesville, Joseph A. Williams, Tiffany O. Williams, and Brandi Williams all of Philadelphia; brother, Apostle Robert Dennis Taylor (Stella) of Midwest City, OK; sister, Barbara J. Taylor of Christiana, PA; grandchildren: Moriah Jacks (Anthony), Michelle Hampton, Gianni Williams, Sasha Williams, and Icesis Hamilton; great-grandchildren: Kinsley Jacks, Karter Jacks, Trent Hampton, Taitum Hampton, Sace Hamilton and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A walk-thru public viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Gateway Church, 160 Cowan Road, Parkesburg, Pennsylvania 19365.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral service will be held privately with limited seating for only the immediate family.

Interment with military honors will be held in Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA.
