Charles Vincent Ruppert Jr., 81, of Coatesville, PA, and formerly of Hazlet and Eatontown NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Born in West New York, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles and Phyllis Ruppert. Charlie was a 1963 graduate from Rutgers University and received a BS in Accounting/ Business Administration. After graduating, he went on to serve in the New Jersey Army National Guard and as a Reserve in the US Army.
He was an Audit Manager for American Express and Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of New York for almost 20 years. He then went on to own a baked goods distributor business. Charlie also held several other jobs before retiring in 2020.
In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed spending time with his family and watching sports. He was a big Yankees, NY Rangers, and NY Giants fan. He was a member of Brandywine Grace Church in Downingtown, PA, and was very active in various ministries. The Tuesday Men’s Bible Study at Christ Community Church in West Chester, PA, and the friendships he made there meant a lot to him. He was an avid reader and a history buff.
Charlie is survived by his sons, Michael (Mary) Ruppert and Jim (Kim) Ruppert; daughter Eileen (Jim) Fox; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; sister-in-law Marilyn Dorato; and 2 nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Brandywine Grace Church in Downingtown on Saturday, July 8th at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be held privately with the family at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport, NJ.
