Charles Homer Auman, Sr., 90, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019, at home.
Born 1929 in McClure, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Charles Auman and Ada Theresa (Whitesel) Auman. He was the beloved husband of Hazel Evelyn (Snook) Auman.
Charles worked as a lineman for the Bell Telephone Company for many years, and after retiring from there he later was employed as a greeter at Walmart in Morgantown, PA.
He enjoyed watching television, especially auto racing and the Philadelphia Phillies. Most of all he was a farmer at heart.
Charles was predeceased by four brothers, Melvin, Ammon, Paul and John.
In addition to his wife Hazel, Charles will be remembered by his daughter, Judith A. (and husband Steven) Smith of Honey Brook; one son, Charles H., Jr. (and wife Jerri Lynn) Auman of Upper Darby, PA; granddaughter, Holly Edds; grandson, Matthew Smith; two great grandchildren, Brayden and Carter Edds; one sister, Margaret Will as well as nephew, Dallas Auman, nieces, cousins and other relatives.
The family is planning a memorial service for a later date.
