Carole J. Raison Toaltoan

Carole J. Raison Toaltoan, 82, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. 

A lifelong resident of Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Herbert L. Raison and Marie Wilson Raison.  She was the wife of the late Harold E. Toaltoan, Sr. with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

Carole was educated in the Coatesville Area School District. She attended the Historical James Adams School.

Carole was a hard worker. She did not play favorites but she was fair in wisdom when dealing with challenging situations. She worked 35 years as a nurse at Chatham Arces until she retired.

Carole was known to be a strict disciplinarian for her sons, however, it was all done in love and care. Some of her favorite hobbies were watching westerns, crocheting, and playing card games like pitty-pat and pokeno. She also enjoyed traveling, cooking, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and solving crossword puzzles.

She loved going to church, wearing her big beautiful hats. Most of all she loved the Lord.

Carole leaves a legacy of love to be cherished by her sons, Harold F. Toaltoan (companion, Christine Williams) of Parkesburg, Theodore "Teddy" L. Toaltoan (Deborah) of Parkesburg, Timothy B. Toaltoan (Sharon) of Georgia, Pursavious D. Toaltoan (Sarah) of Parkesburg and Lamont S. Toaltoan of Georgia; brothers, Gregory (Donna) Raison of Coatesville and Dennis (Tami) Raison of Altoona; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Carole was preceded in death by a son, Edward Toaltoan; grandson, Trey Allen Toaltoan; granddaughter, Talia Toaltoan; sisters, Delores Gray, Gloria Craig, Patricia Raison, Constance Raison; brothers, Lloyd Raison, Leslie Raison, and Rodney Raison.

Homegoing Services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church, 825 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville, PA  with a viewing beginning at 9:00 AM.
