Beatrice Holmes Boddy was born on July 11, 1931, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
She was one of a set of twins born to the late Earl E. Holmes, Sr., and Joanna Thompson.
Beatrice received her early education from the Coatesville Area Public Schools. She attended the Historic James Adams School and S. Horace Scott High School.
Beatrice had been employed at various hospitals but mostly worked as a private duty nurse.
She enjoyed traveling whenever she had the opportunity but most of all she simply enjoyed life.
She was a faithful and active member of the Historic Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church. A devoted member of the Mite Missionary Society and co-founder of the weekly phone line prayer ministry. She was an attentive class leader who took her position seriously and kept the Pastor advised.
Beatrice had an impeccable style for dress and an eye for fashion. Her stylish hats were a fashion statement. Her warm smile was infectious and her love for people was precious.
Most of all, Beatrice loved the Lord. In every conversation, she gave praise to the Lord.
On Monday, March 13, 2023, Beatrice was called home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ponuareen Burton, a son, Albert Case; brothers, James Holmes, and Earl E. Holmes; twin sister, Evang. Barbara Jean White, and sister, Evang. Lena Mae Campbell.
