Obituary

Barbara J. Duncan was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 11, 1969, to Apostle Bobby Duncan and the late Pastor Cynthia Duncan. She was affectionately known as Bobbi, Barb, and Bobbi-Jean.

She graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High (CASH) in 1987 and was a lifelong learner.

Bobbi obtained education from various colleges and universities to further her knowledge in the Human Services industry, including Goldie Beacon College, Temple University, DCCC, and Lincoln University Masters program.

Her passion for helping people was reflected in her field of human services. Bobbi enjoyed empowering individuals with disabilities to further themselves.

Bobbi was employed as a Care Counselor with the Devereaux School in West Chester. She was also the director of a transitional home for young adult women with special needs with Bryan’s House.

Bobbi was an active member of Greater Deliverance Church in Coatesville and served in various capacities over the years such as administration and youth ministry.

In her leisure time, Bobbi enjoyed traveling, good food, and intellectual conversations.

Her favorite music genres were gospel and jazz music which she would listen to often while the TV was muted. She had a gift for listening and providing wise counseling to those who sought her out.

Bobbi was called home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2023. She was preceded in death by her mother Cynthia and her sister Monica.

She is survived by her father, Apostle Bobby Duncan (Stephanie); sister, Deana Robinson (Rashan); two nieces, Tiffany Duncan, Hannah Robinson; two nephews, Caleb Robinson, Noah Duncan-Oliver and a host of other relatives, friends, and church family.

Bobbi's presence will be deeply missed by all, yet spiritually she has impacted us with what Faith and Love looks like despite your circumstances.

Lastly to strive to walk out I Peter 4:8, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

Sorrowfully Submitted,

The Family
