Antoinette Lorraine Johnson, 48, of Modena, passed away, March 18, 2021, at the Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Antoinette was born and raised in West Philadelphia. She was the daughter of Lorraine Johnson and Michael Parks. Antoinette was affectionately known as “Toni” by her family friends.
She attended the Community College of Philadelphia where she earned an Associate’s degree in 1992 then furthered her education at Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
Over the years, Toni worked at Sunrise Senior Living and was employed as a sales representative at Witmer Public Safety Group.
Toni enjoyed writing, taking pictures, watching scary movies, and playing the Sims game on the computer. She also enjoyed event planning, cooking, "country living" and the outdoors. Most of all, she loved God and going to church.
She was a member of East Brandywine Baptist Church. She served two terms as Mayor of Modena, Pennsylvania. Toni valued her family, helping others, and supporting her community. She was giving, creative, and "everyone’s mom". She did a lot for Modena.
Antoinette is survived by two daughters, Denyce Holmes (husband Maurice), and Katherine Mary Johnson of Modena; one son, Lamont Hooper of Pittsburg, PA; her mother, Lorraine Johnson of Philadelphia; father, Michael Parks of Philadelphia; brother, Michael Johnson of Philadelphia; sisters, Nikki Parks, Michelle Gissendanner (husband Kevin), and Markeita Parks all of Philadelphia; grandson, Isaiah Matthew Johnson-Holmes; granddaughters, Aubrey Lauren Johnson-Holmes, Ariana Lorraine Holmes and a host of relatives including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Toni was preceded in death by one son, Nicholas Johnson.
Toni’s love for God and her community will be remembered in the many lives she touched.
A memorial service celebrating and honoring her life will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, PA 19335. Please wear masks and practice social distancing per PA state guidelines while in attendance.
