Obituary

Xavier Stern was born on August 1, 2000. He was born at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, Pennsylvania to Kia Downs and Ricky Stern.  He departed this life on December 11, 2015.

He began his early years of Christian Education at Maranatha Christian Academy at the age of 3 years old where he was blessed to be in the presence of his Nanny and Pop-Pop Stonewall. Xavier also attended the Delaware County School District and Philadelphia School District. In 2011 he started playing Little League football with the West Philly Tar Heels where he played defensive end. Later on Xavier joined the Overbrook Monarchs, where he was affectionately called "Megatron".

Xavier was known to brighten up the room with his beautiful smile and charming personality. He loved to spend time with his family and play video games. He was a bright kid and lately he adamantly wanted to box and to be the next Floyd Mayweather.

Although he wanted to box he loved football; wearing jersey number "52" he would call himself "Lil' Ray Lewis" because Ray Lewis was his favorite player. With his talent, skill and sportsmanship, Xavier helped the team win the 2012 Championship as well as to end their season undefeated. He received many trophies throughout the years for his talent and skill in the sports of football and basketball.

He is survived by his mother, Kia Downs (Albany, NY) and father, Ricky Stern (Upper Darby, PA). He is also survived by his paternal Grandparents Richard T. Stonewall, Jr. (Coatesville, PA), Vicki L. Stonewall and Michelle Stern (Upper Darby, PA). Paternal great grandparents, Richard Sr. and Joyce L. Stonewall. Maternal grandmother, Crystal Willis (Philadelphia, PA), maternal grandparents, Helen Parker and Vincent Parker, Sr. (deceased). He also leaves behind his youngest two siblings Malaha R. Stern and Jasier Johnson; Nyah Stern, his aunt whom he looked up to like a big sister.  He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved him dearly. Xavier will be deeply missed, though he is gone he will never be forgotten.

Services will be held 11 AM Monday, December 21, 2015 at Bethel Community Baptist Church, 7766 Wayne Avenue in Upper Darby. Viewing will begin at 10 AM.
