William Mark Torain, fondly known as "Marky," passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Sanatoga Center Nursing Home in Pottstown, Montgomery County, PA. Born on September 23, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, Marky was the beloved son of the late William Holmes and Barbara (Henderson) Holmes.
He received his education from the Philadelphia public school system. He graduated from West Philly High School in 1978. He enrolled in Harrisburg Community College and graduated with an Associate's degree in Human Services, and received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Millersville University.
William served his country as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army, embodying the values of service and commitment. After his military service, he channeled his passion for helping others into a career as a youth counselor, where he made a positive impact on countless young lives.
Over the years, he had been employed at the Brandywine Hospital in Caln and Old Country Buffet in Downingtown. In any job he had, big or small, he was dedicated to giving 100 percent.
William was the beloved husband of Melinda Keasley Torain. He and his wife attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesville for several years. Together they shared 26 years of marriage until her passing in 2025.
An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, William loved cheering on his favorite team and enjoyed all Philadelphia sports. His love for life was evident in his simple pleasures—strolling through parks, engaging in heartfelt conversations, and savoring his favorite foods like hoagies, Philly cheesestakes, chicken wings, and meals at Texas Roadhouse.
He loved his dog, Cici, and his bird, Cockatoodle, Tee. Most of all, he loved the Lord.
He leaves cherished memories to his daughters, Anya Marie Keasley (Curtis Nelson II) of Coatesville, Tiffany Torain of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Cyntrell Keasley, Ceeana Keasley-Nelson, Curtis Nelson III, Noah, and Zaira; brother-in-laws, William Raymond, Jr. (Stephanie) of Coatesville, Major Culclasure (Michele) of Beaumont, Texas, Deacon Michael Culclasure (Stacey) of Coatesville, Eric Omar (Tosha) of Parkesburg; nieces: Lavada Strickland, Kanina Terrell, Deonnia Ortega; nephews: Harry Jones, Charles Jones, Anthony Grandy; Mother-in-law, Dorothy Mae Keasley Culclasure and a host of cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Keasley Torain; sisters, Deonnia Terrell, Brenda Ortega, Deborah Jones; and a granddaughter, Kyliene Torain.
Homegoing Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Wright Funeral Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, Pennsylvania. A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

Interment with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA.
