Obituary
William "Bill" Thomas, 70 of Coatesville passed away May 15, 2012 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester.
Born in Lumpkin, Georgia, he was the son of the Perry and Essie Thomas and the wife of Iris Bookman Thomas.
He had been employed as a custodian at Barkley Elementary School for 21 years until he retired.
He enjoyed fishing, sports, gardening and cars.
Bill is survived by his wife Iris Bookman Thomas; sons, Bill Thomas, Jr. of Georgia, Michael M. Thomas of Phoenixville, Michael Bookman of Coatesville; Lisa Thomas of Wash, DC., Tina M. Thomas of Georgia, Carla (Juraski) Bighams of Phoenixville, Michelle Bookman and Miriam L. Robinson both of Coatesville; two brothers, Perry Thomas, Jr. of Phoenixville and John (Lavinia) Thomas of New Jersey; 16 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11 am, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church, 412 Fairview Street, Phoenixville with a viewing beginning at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville.
