William Nemoral Hoxter, Jr., "Sonny", of Germantown in Philadelphia, PA, passed away after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.  He was 92 years old.

Sonny was born in Philadelphia on April 2,1929 to the late William N. Hoxter, Sr., and Marian (Dixon) Hoxter.

He is survived by two daughters, Chere L. Shorter of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Linda Hoxter of Philadelphia; one son, William "Ting" N. Hoxter, III of Philadelphia; grandson, Hutton Harmon (wife Lindsey); great grandson, Jaxson Harmon; sister, Frances "Dimps" Wilkins of Mt. Airy, PA; sister in-law, Constance Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sonny was predeceased by the mother of his three children, Jean T. Lewis, and a sister, Betty Hoxter.
