William H. "Doc" Joseph, 59, of Coatesville, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Brandywine Hospital.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Willie Joseph and Nellie Bowman Joseph.

After graduating from Coatesville High School, he served two years in the US Marines during the Vietnam conflict.

For 34 years, William worked as a supervisor for EMS at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.

He enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family.

He is survived by daughters Carla Jennings, Teisha Allen, Courtney Joseph all of Coatesville, Sonia Brake of Parkesburg and Tykishia Trowery; son William Jamar Joseph of Coatesville; his former spouse, Dr. Patricia Joseph of Downingtown; sisters, Cynthia (Evan) Turner, Crystal Joseph both of Coatesville; brothers, David (Terri) Joseph and Demetrius (Margaret) Joseph of Coatesville; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister Lydia Joseph.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the V.A. Hospital All Faith Chapel, 1400 Black Horse Hill Rd, Coatesville. His viewing will begin at 8:30 am.

Interment with full military honors will be in the Church of Christ Cemetery, Ercildoun.
