William H. Dent of Norfolk, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2014. He was the son of the late Lenzie Alston and Ethel Dent. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dent of Norfolk, Virginia; four sons, Arnold Tucker, William Davis, Jr., James Brooks, and Keith Joyner; four sisters: Agnes Alston, Hattie Pearl (Eddie) Carter, Mary (James) Marshall of North Carolina and Delia Dobie of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; one brother, Norman Alston, and host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Alston, Charlie Alston and Harvey Alston.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Fork Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 311 Rabbit Bottom Rd, Warren County, NC Warrenton, NC, under the direction of Cooke Bros. Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
