On Sunday, July 17, 2022, Warren Slater, of Coatesville, PA, passed away at the Brandywine Hall Center in West Chester, PA. Warren was 68 years old.

Born in Bishopville, SC. he was the son of the late Ellnora (Spann) Slater and Leroy Jefferson. Warren was a graduate of Bishopville Senior High School.

He served in the National Guard and worked at the South Carolina National Can Company until he retired.

Warren was known to serve in the community by helping in the kitchen at the Second Baptist Church in Kennett Square. He also participated in distributing meals at the Coatesville YWCA.

Warren loved watching softball, enjoyed listening to classic soul music and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Warren leaves his brother, Richard Slater of Coatesville, Ernestine Stevens of Hartsville, SC, Sandra Dixon, Naomi Benjamin. Brenda Spann all of Bishopville, SC; Edna Greg of Alexandria, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by brothers, Wilson Spann, Roosevelt Slater, James Slater, Albert Spann: sisters, Helen Slater and Eliza Guzman.
