Vivian Irene Perry, 83, of Coatesville, PA passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at Hickory House Nursing Home in Honey Brook.

Born in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late Arvella F.  Walker and was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother.

Vivian was a dedicated employee of the Coatesville VA Medical Center, where she worked in the dietary department for many years. Her hard work and commitment will be remembered by her colleagues and patients alike.

Outside of work, Vivian had a passion for reading romance novels; Danielle Steele being her favorite author. She also enjoyed playing board games like Scrabble and enjoyed playing card games.

She had a passion for collecting frog figurines of all types and sizes. Her collection started with just a few, but over time it grew to include hundreds of unique pieces. She loved the intricate details and colors of each figurine and took great pride in displaying them in her home.

Watching soap operas was her cherished pastime with her favorites being "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful."

She was a member of New Life In Christ Fellowship. She loved listening to gospel music and the soulful sounds of Al Green.

She leaves cherished memories to her daughters, Ella Perry of Coatesville, Christine Perry of Kansas, her niece who was like a daughter, Alice Walker-Stokes of Honeybrook; one son, Michael Perry (Pilar) of Denver, PA; brother, Richard E. Walker, Sr. (Marie) of Parkesburg; best friends, Barbara Brown, and Brenda Cole; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her mother, Vivian was preceded in death by her former spouse, Wallace L. Perry; daughter, Lisa Johnson; sisters, Arlene Parker, and Jesse Walker, Sr.

Vivian will be remembered as a kind and loving woman who always put her family first. She was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother who cherished spending time with her loved ones. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at  New Life In Christ Fellowship, 1 South 5th Avenue, Coatesville, PA.
