Obituary

Victoria Marie Hunt Johnson, 80, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at her residence in Carver Court.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Marshall Hunt, Sr., and Ruth Pearl Pernsley Hunt.

Victoria was employed as a Psyche Nurse Assistant at the Coatesville VA Hospital. In the early years, she worked making clothes for the seals in Coatesville and also worked at Burroughs in Downingtown. She worked at George Manufacturing Company in Atlanta, Georgia, where she lived for 8 years then moved back to Coatesville and worked at the VA medical center until she retired.

Being the oldest of her siblings, she embraced her role as a caretaker with grace, often babysitting her younger siblings and cherishing the moments when her sister Cathy would gently scratch her head—a simple act that brought her immense joy.

Her love for fashion was evident in her impeccable sense of style. She delighted in online shopping, especially QVC and HSN. She enjoyed shopping to find the perfect outfits that matched her love for dressing up. Her home was a testament to her meticulous nature, always kept spotless.

Victoria enjoyed dancing, and going to the casino. Her taste in music, especially "bop music," echoed her lively personality and filled her days with joy. She also loved to travel frequently.

A classic burger, fries, and a milkshake would make her day—comfort foods that she savored with delight. Her life was a beautiful dance of joy, laughter, and love.

Victoria is survived by her devoted daughter, Shawn Deon Hawkins (Albert) of Coatesville; five grandchildren, Vicshawn D. Hunt, Shaquitta C. Trice, Reginald R. Trice, Jr., Andranay M. Hunt, Jeni L. Trice; siblings: Valerie E. Hunt, Eugene M. Hunt, Jr., Karen P. Hunt, Cathy E. Hunt, Richard T. Hunt; good friends, Carlene Scott, Arnold Hammond and Peggy Vaughn; family friend, Terry Brown; longtime good neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Duncan; caregivers, Bridgette Holmes and Lynette Reeves; 13 granchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon D. Hunt, and brother Darrell R. Hunt.

Victoria was loved by so many for her kindness and loving smile. Her memory will be cherished in our hearts
