Thelma J. Richardson, 89, of Coatesville, formerly of West Chester, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at home. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Sydonia Brown, and the wife of the late William N. Richardson; they shared thirty years of marriage.

Born in Avondale, PA she graduated from Avondale High School and had been employed at Wyeth Laboratories for thirty years.

Thelma was a member of South Coatesville Life Center in Coatesville. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and crossword puzzles.

Thelma is survived by three sons, William Phillip Richardson (Lynda Finegan), Charles Alexander Richardson (Christophe Robins), Earl Eugene Richardson (Katherine) ; two daughters, Min. Karen L. Johnson (Barry L.), Wendy T. Whitaker (David); two sister-in-laws, Catherine Westley and Floretta Richardson, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, six sisters and one great grandson, Aiden Johnson.

Services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, September 19, at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 1 Hagerty Blvd, West Chester, with a viewing beginning at 8 am.

Interment will be in the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
