IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Teresa Ann
(Newton) Hugan
November 4, 1963 – October 26, 2023
Teresa Ann Hugan, "Newt", of Coatesville, PA, surrounded by her family, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at home. She was 59 years old.
Teresa was born in West Chester, PA, to Geraldine Anna (Sadler) Edwards, and the late Charles Chatman Newton. She was the wife of Anthony Wayne Hugan. She was a 1982 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
Teresa was an amazing, loving, and caring woman, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, wife and mother. She was like a safe haven for everyone who knew her. If you loved her she would love you back. Although Teresa showed tough love she would always welcome and help family and friends in times of need.
Teresa enjoyed watching her favorite shows The Young and the Restless, Law & Order, and Family Feud, watching drama movies, and listening to her radio station 105.3 WDAS FM. She loved to laugh, crack jokes but most importantly have a good time. She was always genuine, and outspoken, and knew how to leave an impression on everyone she met.
Teresa, no matter what, always kept the family together and wanted nothing but the best for everyone. She was a blessing and will truly be missed.
Teresa was predeceased by a niece, Tia Edmonds, and sister-in-law, Takia Wesley.
In addition to her husband Anthony, and mother, Geraldine, Teresa leaves treasured memories to her children: Trent Anthony Hugan of Coatesville, Trina Nashay Hugan (Marlo Shockley) of Coatesville, and Antoine Dwayne Jacobs, Sr., (Jackelyn Pratts) of Coatesville; grandchildren: Amari Shockley, Janasia Jacobs, Antoine Jacobs, Jr., and Josiah Jacobs; siblings: Charles Newton III (Dawn) of Plainfield, NJ, Gerald Newton of West Chester, Darrin Newton (Tammy)of Somerville, NJ, Elizabeth Draine (Gordon) of Wallingford, PA, and Irving Newton (Chanel) of West Chester; close nephews, Hassan and Malik Newton, and Gerome Gray, Jr.
She is also survived by her best friends, Becky Anderson, Lynn Wesley, Katherine Wilson, and Carol Dickinson, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
