Tenesia Ann Jones was born August 5, 1972, in Coatesville PA to Priscilla Jones and the late Stanley Alston.

Tenesia attended Coatesville Area High School. She worked at Pepperidge Farm as a machine operator and a backup line leader beginning in 1994.

Tenesia was very family-oriented. She loved her family with all that she had. She loved and respected her parents until her last day. She was the first child on both sides and she loved that.

Tenesia had a huge kind heart that showed no matter what she did. She loved working on her business, listening to music, shopping and traveling.  She has helped plenty of people in her life by opening her door to help people with a place to stay or to talk or get a meal. She was a devoted mother to her one and only son the late De'Jar L. Jones, Sr. and many others who called her mom.

Tenesia departed this life on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at home. She was preceded in death by her son, De'Jar L. Jones, Sr.; father, Stanley "Hussey" Alston; and her brother Stanley Alston.

Tenesia is survived by her mother, Priscilla Jones; her sisters, Dayshia Jones, and Regina White (Jah); her brothers, Marquise Thomas, Eric Alston, and John Crews (Christy); her daughter-in-law, Jessica Hale; grandchildren, Ciera James, Lyn'Asia Jones, De'Jar Jones, Jr., Harmony Jones, Kenya Hale, Tamia Vaughn, Jayda Vaughn; grandmother, Alberta J. Alston; her good friends, Lalita Shockley Self, Nikki Williams; special cousin, Bertha "Bea" Alston and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other good friends.

Homegoing Services will be held at 4:00 PM, on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at New Life in Christ Fellowship, 1 South 5th Avenue, Coatesville PA. A viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until the service time.
