IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tangelia "Tan"
Clark
December 14, 1977 – February 8, 2025
Tangelia "Tan" Clark, of Pottstown, PA, formerly of Coatesville, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA. She was 47 years old.
Born in Coatesville, she was the beloved daughter of Carol Jackson and the late Tyrone Matthew Clark.
Tangela attended Coatesville Area High School before beginning a long career at Pepperidge Farm, where she worked for 13 years before retiring.
Tangela was known for her vibrant and playful personality. She was empathetic, supportive, and always willing to listen. Tangela had an amazing way of making you feel comfortable enough to talk about anything while also keeping it real. As her children lovingly said, "We knew how far we could slide!"
Tangela loved playing bingo and spending time at the Casino where she was always known to hit big. Tangela was a fan of Dateline and ID crime series and could often be found immersed in a good book. She enjoyed taking trips to the beach every summer and loved going out with the girls.
Family meant everything to Tangela. She shared a close bond with her older sibling Tina Thompson who was known to have her back and rode with her to the very end. Her cousin Taneisha Parker was more like a sister to her, the two of them shared a remarkable bond until her untimely demise. Tangela also adored her precious granddaughter Autumn Skye Sterling and loved being a part of her life.
Aside from enjoying the outdoors, Tangela loved to host card games where locals would come together to share a good time and a great laugh at Tan's home no matter where she lived. She also hosted family gatherings where everyone was sure to feel her love.
Tangela took pride in being a mother and leaves behind cherished memories with her mother, Carol Jackson; step-father, Oscar Jackson; children: Keon Thompson, Jada Clark-Davis, Zyairah Clark, and Amonirose Clark. Also to share those memories are siblings: Simone Easton, Tyrone "Tee" Clark (Kate), Theodore Guest, Hameen Hopkins, Vyneeka Hopkins, and Tyheem Clark. As well as several close friends including but not limited to Jana Purnell, Julius Johnson, Frances Sanchez, Cher Thomas, Reba "Nikki" Williams, Lish Singleton and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tyrone Matthew Clark; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Easton; maternal grandfather, Preston Easton, and paternal grandmother, Janet Clark.
Tan's legacy lives on through her children and granddaughter, and her memory will forever be held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her dearly.
