Susan Brown, 59, of Oxford, PA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Born in Coatesville, PA she was the daughter of Barbara Brown Douglas and the late Richard Brazzle. Susan attended the Coatesville Area Public Schools.  In high school, she excelled in athletics, playing basketball, hockey, track and field. She was a member of the 1981 - 1983 State Championship 4 X 100 relay team.  She graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School in 1983.  She enlisted in the United States Army, where she faithfully served from 1984 until she was honorably discharged in 1987. Susan was employed as a childcare provider and a chef at As We Grow Learning Center. She was previously employed at the VA Medical Center as a Kitchen Aide and later a Pharmacy Technician. Susan enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and taking care of plants. She was the life of any party or gathering. She was known for shopping at Bebe's Grocery Outlet store and New Castle Farmer's Market to get bags of stuff for her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Susan will be greatly missed by many including her daughter Chamise L Bell of Secane, PA; her mother, Barbara Brown Douglas (Raymond) of Harrisburg; her stepmother, Violet "Ginger" Brazzle (Richard), siblings, Stanley Shelton (Gretchen) of Coatesville, Michelle Timmons (LaMont) of Baltimore, MD, Angie Brazzle of Coatesville, Andre Shelton (Charnette) of Northeast, MD, Richard Brazzle, Jr. (Tiffany) of Gap, PA, Marc Wilson (Mikeysa) of Coatesville, John "Joe" Brazzle (Samantha) of Fayetteville, NC, Alice Brazzle of Coatesville, Ravonda Newsuan of Philadelphia, PA; her Bestie: Nicole Skelton of Coatesville, grand puppy, Fendi and a host of aunts,  uncles nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM, on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Bell Chapel True Holiness Church, 132 Modena Road, Coatesville PA.  There will be a family visitation hour from 3:00 PM until the service time.
