Obituary

Steven Lee Harris was a man who loved God and in spite of his struggles, he always tried to help others and give words of encouragement. From the union of Carvey Lee Harris and Rev. Georgiana C. Harris, Steve was born on April 1, 1969 in Pottstown, PA. He was raised in a loving Christian home along with three siblings. Steven had a passion for cooking delicious and elegant meals. Joy and delight were the main ingredients in each dish he so beautifully presented. Steven received his culinary training from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He expanded his technical knowledge at the Spring House Computer School. Either as a pizza maker ruling the kitchen, a sous chef, or as a carpenter on a home improvement site, Steven took pride in his work and his accomplishments. He enjoyed race cars and exotic cars, keeping them as shiny as a dime.

He often shared his musical gift of singing at special events and family gatherings or around the house. Although Steven had much pain and many struggles in life, he is remembered as someone who was willing to help others above himself, giving words of encouragement and making people laugh.

Steven boldly shared his faith and wisdom with those he came to know. He helped many people through their struggles, sometimes to a fault. He often put the needs of others before his own. Nevertheless, he witnessed to many and helped others come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Steven passed away December 20, 2019. In addition to his father, Carvey Lee Harris, he was preceded in death by one brother, Darryl K. Harris. He will be deeply missed by his family including his son, Jonathan Lee Harris; mother, Rev. Georgiana C. Harris; brothers, Anthony D. Harris I and his wife Debra of Stowe, PA, Rev. Alen W. Harris, Sr. and his wife Tara of Birdsboro, PA; sister, Valerie Jackson and her husband Jeffery of Charlotte, NC; aunts: Linda Renick, Lueveina Blakey, Brenna Hicks, Marietta Harris, Patricia Harris; uncles: Roland Renick, Harvey Harris, Samuel Harris, Willie Harris, Charles Hicks and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Though he is gone he will not be forgotten. We will cherish his memory in our hearts.
