Stephon L. James, 39, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Born on August 30, 1984, in Coatesville, he was the beloved son of Rose James and James Stevens. Stephon was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who knew him.

A proud alumnus of Coatesville Area Senior High School, Stephon graduated in 2002 and later attended and graduated from Lockhaven University in 2007. He went on to work at Marshalls, Devereaux, and most recently found joy in his role at Panera Bread in Exton.

Outside of his professional life, Stephon was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, often found cheering passionately during game days. He also loved to watch WWF wrestling. His love for sports extended beyond fandom; he actively participated in football and soccer during his earlier years and continued to cherish those memories.

Stephon loved music and was a member of the Coatesville Meistersingers while in high school. He loved to dance and was known for his humor, Stephon was the family's comedian, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. He cherished family gatherings and the time spent with friends, bringing joy and laughter to every occasion. Stephon will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Stephon was preceded in death by an uncle, Charles James; aunts, Maxine Williams. Jacquelyn Williams and cousin, Michael Williams.

Stephon leaves cherished memories to his mother, Rose James; father, James Stephens; brother, Carlton Akers; aunts, Linda C. James, Patricia McClary (Jabbar); maternal grandmother, Rose Mays; god-sons, Jaden Clinton, Nathaniel Tobias; goddaughter Makayla Joy; two nephews, Carlton Akers and Conner Akers; longtime friends, Jarrell Brazzle, Sr., Mitchell Floyd, Brandon "Scoop" Coleman (Rachael), Tyrone Porter, Kirk and Jen Okumura; devoted friend, Cheryl Linton, and many other loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA.

Friends may visit with the family at 2:00 PM until the start of the service.
