IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephanie B.
Jennings
April 10, 1948 – June 5, 2023
On Monday, June 5, 2023, God dispatched an angel from heaven to bring his daughter Stephanie B. Jennings home to be with him after a long illness.
Stephanie was the wife of the late George F. Jennings, Jr., with whom she shared 30 years of marriage until his passing in 1999. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Reuben Kenneth Berry and Catherine Brunson Wilson.
She was a graduate of S. Horace Scott Senior High School, class of 1966, where she was a cheerleader and participated on the Varsity Field Hockey team.
Stephanie was employed as a drafter at Verizon in 1966 until she retired. She was a member of the AFL-CIO Union and the Pioneers.
She was a faithful member of Christian Faith Fellowship in Downingtown where she participated with the youth ministry. She also served as an usher while at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesville and continued at Christian Faith Fellowship.
Stephanie had a deep love of arts and crafts and baking. She was a prolific artist which she continued to dabble in throughout her life. She often helped, or rather completed the art schoolwork of her grandchildren. She would literally take a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down when her children and grandchildren were sick. Holidays were full of cookies, pies, cakes and more, all cooked from scratch and with lots of love.
Stephanie is cherished and survived by her daughter, Darlene M. Jennings; son, George K. Jennings; siblings: Gary Berry of New York, Dion P. Wilson of Coatesville, Denise (Eugene) Bivens of Coatesville, grandchildren, Niyah Jennings, Giovanna Jennings-Scott, Kenna Jennings; step-son, Deric Knight; sisters-in-law, Frances Jacobs of West Chester, Georgette (Buster) Lane of Stephen City, VA, and Joyce (Richard) Stonewall of Coatesville; brother-In-laws: Carmine Leido, Roland Jennings and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Stephanie was preceded in death by her siblings Reuben K. Berry, Jr., and Patricia Berry.
