Sheldon "Shack" Eggleston, 69, of Coatesville, passed away September 15, 2010 at home.

He was the son of the late Gradis Eggleston, Sr. and Mamie Alston Eggleston.

A Vietnam veteran, he served four years in the US Marine Corps.

He enjoyed singing, fishing, watching sports, and was a member of the Bernardtown Baptist Church in Coatesville.

He is survived by daughters, D'Angela (Kenneth) White, Tracey Young, Nichelle Eggleston, and Iris Eggleston; sons, Sheldon Eggleston, Jr. and Dimya Williams; brothers, Rev. Gradis (Alice) Eggleston, Jr., William (Phyllis) Eggleston; sisters, Clotell (Billy) Kelley and Charlotte (Ronald) Parr; 13 grandchildren, former spouse Gloria Hammond  and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother Elder Julius Eggleston, Sr.

Services will be held 11 am, Friday, September 24 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates St., Coatesville , with a viewing beginning at 9 am.
