Obituary

Sharon Lee Lewis Jones of Coatesville, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Chester County Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Coatesville, PA, Sharon was the daughter of the late Edgar H. Boggs and Lucille Jane Lewis. Sharon was the beloved wife of Aaron Jones with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.

Sharon was a 1971 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High. She was a very caring and giving person. She loved to dress and was highly into fashion. Sharon also loved to travel with Aaron. She was excited when she learned to fly overseas by herself. She enjoyed traveling to numerous foreign countries such as France, Germany, England, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. When Aaron went to the Gulf War, Sharon ensured the community knew she missed him by getting an interview with the Coatesville Record and having them put in the paper how much he was missed.

Throughout her years, she worked in various places including Coatesville V.A. Hospital, Coatesville Area School District, Graystone Academy, and Mollymaid cleaning services.

Sharon loved listening to music, I used to tell her I like to hear her sing (off key) along with her signature dance moves that to this day no one can copy. Her greatest love was for her family and friends, and loved family gatherings and cooking and was well known for her famous meatloaf as well as other homemade meals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers John Edgar Lewis, and Edward H. Boggs, and sisters, Mae Louise Jones and Olive Mae Dickinson.

Along with her husband Aaron, Sharon leaves to cherish her memories, three brothers, James Boggs (Jennifer) and Harry Wilson (Della) all of Coatesville, PA, Horace Wilson (Sabrina), and Nathan Boggs of Downingtown, PA, Phillip Boggs of Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Sheila Wilson and Marie Wilson of Coatesville PA, Alethea Boyer of St. Louis MO., and Roslyn Boggs of New Jersey.  She also leaves a very dear Godson, Amore Twyman of Georgia; a very close cousin whom she helped to raise, Robert T. Lewis; a sister-like cousin, Darlene Hunt; a sister-like friend, Joyce Allen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
