Russell I. Horsey, 76, of Coatesville, PA, formerly of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Marion Station, Maryland, he was the son of the late George S. Horsey and Eunice E. (Collins) Horsey. He was the brother of Ernie R. Horsey, and Lucious M. Horsey (husband of Lee), both of Wilmington, Delaware.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry I. Horsey; and a nephew, Ernie R. Cole.

Russell was an outstanding and kind-hearted individual that would do anything to make you happy, that is until you made him angry. He was a God-fearing man and loved to watch cooking shows. He could often be found serving as a chef in the kitchen at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Coates Street, and he would faithfully deliver food to friends and those in need, on his way home.

His passing came as a shock and certainly has left a void at Tabernacle, in the community, and in his family. His community service and kindness will be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates Street, Coatesville, PA.
