Ruby Mae Kidd transitioned from this life on Monday, June 14, 2021, to take her place with the King at the blessed age of 88. Ruby touched many lives while on her Christian journey.

Ruby was born to the late Louis and Katie Calhoun on February 14, 1933, in Richmond, VA. Ruby was educated in the Richmond Public School System. She earned her Nutritional Sciences Degree (Dietitian) and was employed with the MCV Hospital. Ruby later relocated to Coatesville, PA., where she was employed at the Coatesville Hospital.

Ruby found a church home called Second Baptist where she has been a member for over fifty years. Ruby served as a missionary until her health no longer allowed her to do so.

One of her greatest passions was children. She would watch anybody's child. She was the family babysitter. Ruby loved music and could play the piano and would try to teach the children she watched how to play.

Ruby leaves to cherish her memories three children: Willie Kidd of Richmond, Virginia, Jacqueline Elliot of Sterling, Virginia, Earnest (Angela) Kidd, of Richmond, Virginia; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 10:45AM.

Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazer, PA. Friends and family are invited to share condolences and reflections on the online guestbook. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home on the day of the service. The theme colors is blue.
