Ronald James Marshall, of Coatesville, PA, surrounded by his family, passed away early Saturday morning, June 8, 2024, at his residence. He was 69 years old.
Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of Gladys Marshall Legree and John W. Trowery III.
Ronald had a passion for painting and construction work. He enjoyed working on cars, playing the guitar, and traveling. He also enjoyed cooking and listening to music, especially the oldies, Tupac, and War. Most of all he loved his family. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and grandfather who would often say, "I must confess I am the best".
Ron is survived by his children: Ronald James Gibbs of Coatesville, William Robinson of Florida, Jason T. James (Annisa) of Coatesville; godchildren, Tammy Jarrett of Coatesville; mother, Gladys Marshall Legree of Coatesville; father, John W. Trowery III, of Pittsburg; siblings, Evang. Glyna Ferguson (Elder Jay) of Coatesville, Ethel Henderson of Coatesville, Pastor Sonia Murrey (Pastor Herbert) of New Castle, DE, Frenchie Trowery, Marpessa Green, Tiana Dantzler of Pittsburg, Shawn Hawkins (Albert) of Coatesville; brothers, Bro. Glenn M. Marshall (Elder Kim) of Coatesville, Bruce R. Legree of Coatesville, Johnathan Green of Pittsburg, Maurice Forte of Pittsburg, Chris Trowery of Pittsburg, Nate Taylor of Lancaster, Terrance Green of York; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, John Wells Trowery IV, Kevin Trowery, Jamarrow Trowery, Michael D. Marshall; and one sister, Chiquita "Kitty" Trowery.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 1:30 PM.
