Ronald "Shug" Hoggard, 57, of Coatesville, passed away August 3, 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia .
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late James and Margaret Brodie Hoggard, and the husband of Yvonne Hoggard with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.
Ron was a graduate of Coatesville Area High School . He served three years in the US Army until he was honorably discharged. He was employed at the US Postal Service for 27 years.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Worship Center in Coatesville. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, fishing, crossword puzzles, motorcycles, and reading the Bible.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ronald (Sherray) Hoggard of Delaware, Ryan Hoggard of East Fallowfield; one daughter Aqueous Hoggard of East Fallowfield; seven brothers, James Hoggard, William Hoggard and Richard Winkey all of Coatesville, Elmer Hoggard of New Jersey, Roosevelt Hoggard of Delaware, Reuben Hoggard and Rev. Clinton Hoggard both of Philadelphia; three sisters, Gloria Cotton and Marie Smallwood of Philadelphia, Maytha (Lonnie) Brown of Coatesville; 4 grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Leroy Hoggard, Sr., and Lottie Souell.
Services will be held at 10 am Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Second Baptist Worship Center , 857 Lumber St , Coatesville with a viewing beginning at 8 am.
Burial with military honors will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park , West Chester .
