Roland S.T. Onawola, PhD., 82, of Glenmoore, PA, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Offa, Kwara, Nigeria, Roland was the cherished son of Joshua and Emily Onawola. He was the beloved husband of Vickie T. Onawola, with whom he shared many joyful years of marriage.

Dr. Onawola was not only a devoted family man but also a man of remarkable academic achievements. He held two master's degrees and two doctoral degrees, reflecting his relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence. His career in the pharmaceutical field spanned over three decades, during which he made significant contributions to the industry.

Roland was a man of profound faith and an active member of the Strong Faith Family Church in Coatesville. His love for the Lord was evident in his daily life, as he dedicated time to studying the Word and living out his faith in all his endeavors.

Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, Roland had a rich array of personal interests. He found joy in watching the game of Nigerian football, writing poems, playing the guitar, and singing. His poetic expressions and musical talents were a source of inspiration and comfort to many. Additionally, Roland practiced meditation regularly, finding peace and reflection in its quiet moments. Dr. Onawola is survived by his beloved Wife, Vickie; loving daughter, Emily, and a host of other relatives, colleagues, church family and friends who cherished his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering faith.

While we mourn his sudden departure, we also celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched many lives with his intellect, creativity, and deep faith.

Homegoing Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. The viewing will begin at 10 AM until the time of the service.
